CUBA (2013)
An 8-track film noir narrative, guitar-led and deliberately lo-fi. It sounds like the golden age of Hollywood filtered through damaged tape.
Minimal, accidental, atmospheric, and sometimes unexpectedly danceable.
Cuba (2013) plays like a soundtrack for soft crime dramedy, end-of-the-rope characters, or quiet nocturnal contemplation.

About Russian Spy
Russian Spy is the moniker of Soviet-born composer and sound designer A.V.Serzhen. A cosmopolitan musician working across forms, Serzhen conceived the project as guitar-driven, unpolished, and resistant to pre-written structure.
The name Russian Spy emerged from real events. During a photoshoot in a government-restricted area, Serzhen was detained and questioned by federal authorities. An artistic exercise was reframed as suspicion, leaving a lasting imprint that would later shape the tone of Cuba (2013).
Recorded in a Miami-based studio, the project absorbed the city’s nocturnal Art Deco backstreets and humid, low-lit atmosphere. The result leans toward what might best be described as tropical noir.
