About

HELiX is a minimal electronica album by M1D1, recorded in 2014 and quietly released online before disappearing for nearly a decade. Pulled back for a visual rework, it now returns with a refreshed track sequence, remastered sound, and new cover art by SKWTii.
The record moves between cinematic restraint and rhythmic precision, balancing mechanical grooves with subtle jazz piano fragments, filtered synths, and carefully placed noise. A strong nocturnal presence threads through the album—urban, isolated, and controlled—where subtropical percussion collides with cold electronic structures.
M1D1 is the soft-synth outlet of multimedia sound designer and composer A.V. Serzhen. Focused on cinematic forms without following trends, the sound is intentionally minimal, precise, and measured, yet retains a quiet human presence, making it equally suited for deep listening and visual storytelling.

About

el.fugue — Mindhalls was recorded live in studio and released in March 2020, just days before the world went into lockdown. The timing feels accidental but precise, capturing a psychological state mediated between routine and rupture, stability and the unknown.
The sound architecture is built entirely on modular synthesis, centered around Moog and Pittsburgh Modular systems, synchronized in Verdi tuning (C256Hz). The result is a dynamic range of analog drift, phase movement, and polyrhythmic layering, balancing tonal centers with controlled chaos.
Across nine tracks, Mindhalls covers: cyberpunk atmosphere, dystopian landscapes, meditative illbient states, suitable for scene underscoring, montage structures, psychological tension beds, and transitional sequences, the album provides cinematic electronic material for filmmakers and digital creators working with speculative, urban, or near-future narratives.
